Dr Frauke Schallner is a specialist in orthopaedics. She holds additional qualifications in sports medicine and orthopaedic rheumatology as well as the D. A. F. certificate for foot surgery. She is also a qualified physiotherapist.
After completing her training as a physiotherapist, Dr Schallner studied medicine in Münster at the Westfälische Wilhelms University and in Frankfurt am Main at the Goethe University.
As part of her specialist training at the University of Münster, she was trained by Prof. Dr Winkelmann in general and tumour orthopaedics as well as arthroplasty.
After moving to Munich, she continued her training in all orthopaedic areas at the Orthopaedic Surgery Munich (OCM) in Sendling.Here she finally specialised in hand and foot surgery and rheumatology under Dr Bracker. After completing her further training in orthopaedic rheumatology, she moved to Augsburg in 2012 to join head physician Dr Rozee at the Hessingklinik, where she set up a hand surgery department as a senior physician.
As a sports physician and trained physiotherapist, she has a broad knowledge of conservative therapy and rehabilitative medicine as well as the treatment of sports injuries.
A specialist in hand surgery, foot surgery and rheumatology, she joined the ECOM team in December 2017. She specialises in the treatment of hand and foot conditions, orthopaedic rheumatology and the conservative treatment of musculoskeletal disorders.
As a former competitive athlete in athletics, Dr Schallner is still active in running, skiing and yoga.
