Prof Dr Patrick Weber is a renowned specialist in the treatment of osteoarthritis of the hip and knee joint. He carries out the entire spectrum of osteoarthritis treatment, from conservative therapy to surgery, depending on individual requirements. He specialises in the implantation and revision of hip and knee endoprostheses.
Thanks to his many years as head of hip endoprosthetics and deputy head of knee endoprosthetics at the University Hospital of Munich (LMU, Großhadern Hospital), he covers the entire field of endoprosthetics, including complex cases such as hip dysplasia or post-traumatic arthrosis. He has been performing minimally invasive implantation of hip endoprostheses using the AMIS method for many years. He is also a reference surgeon and trainer for this method. Another focus of his work is the replacement of hip and knee endoprostheses.
He has been implanting knee endoprostheses for years using the kinematic alignment technique, taking into account the natural anatomy and correcting severe deformities.
